Absolute complete surrender – Hanuman to Ram

A perfect example for a surrendered devotee of Lord is Hanuman ji.

Lord Hanuman symbolically stands for pure devotion, complete surrender and absence of ego or the lower self. As the son of Vayu, symbolically he also stands for the subtle body consisting of the breath body, the mental body and the intelligence body. Here we explain Hanuman as the mental body in a human being.

The mind is fickle (like a monkey) and jumps from place to place, going after things, engaging itself in innumerable activities that disturb the peace of the place. The mind, like Hanuman can also travel where it wants to. It can fly in the air, cross the continents and the worlds in an instant with the speed of thought and reach any one and anything it wants to mentally.

It can also expand or contracts itself at will (again like Hanuman). So long as it remains under the control of pure animal passions and the activities of the sense, it remains unstable and mischievous, causing a lot of the disturbance in the world of the individual.

But once it surrenders to the inner self and becomes devoted to it completely and unconditionally, it assumes miraculous powers and performs stupendous feats like Hanuman, working for the divine cause helping the lower self (Sita) and the Soul (Rama)   to come together and become united.

By killing all the evil thoughts with its determination, it also lays a firm foundation for the kingdom of God (Ramarajya) to become established in the body. Hanuman is thus symbolically the mind principle ever absorbed in the contemplation of God and totally surrendered to Him.

But this is not the only interpretation available for Hanuman. As “Hanuman”, he is the one without any doubt (anuman) as to the existence of Rama (God). As anjaniputra, he is the one who comes accidentally into this world, but by his efforts ascends to the greater heights of spiritual evolution.

As Vayuputra he is the breath body in us and can help the lower self (Sita) that is lost to ignorance to reunite with its true companion, the inner soul (Rama). As Veeranjaneya, he is the source of courage and confidence for many a timid heart.

As Bhajarangbali, he is strong in both devotion and physical strength. He is an ocean of virtues and friend of the pure hearted. He loves the ascetic qualities in man because only those who are detached and mentally free from the luxuries of life and desires of their bodies can truly concentrate on the divine and attain Him.

Hanuman is regarded as the Superman, the perfect man, the knowledge body (gnana guna sagara) in man, the immortal man (chiranjeevi) and also the animal man (va+nara).

Life is really too short to be insignificant

I have forgiven mistakes that were indeed almost unforgivable. I’ve tried to replace people who were irreplaceable and tried to forget those who were unforgettable. I’ve acted on impulse, have been disappointed by people when I thought that this could never be possible. But I have also disappointed those who I love.

Life is too short to be insignificant – Charlie Chaplin

I have laughed at inappropriate occasions. I’ve made friends that are now friends for life. I’ve screamed and jumped for joy. I’ve loved and I’ve been loved. But I have also been rejected and I have been loved without loving the person back. I’ve lived for love alone and made vows of eternal love.
I’ve had my heart broken many, many times! I’ve cried while listening to music and looking at old pictures. I’ve called someone just to hear their voice on the other side. I have fallen in love with a smile. At times, I thought I would die because I missed someone so much. At other times, I felt very afraid that I might lose someone very special. But I have lived! And I still continue living everyday.
I’m not just passing through life and you shouldn’t either Live!

The best thing in life is to go ahead with all your plans and your dreams, to embrace life and to live everyday with passion, to lose and
still keep the faith and to win while being grateful. All of this because the world belongs to those who dare to go after what they want. And because life is really too short to be insignificant.

Was reading and experiencing some important aspects.
Every human has both the masculine and feminine forms… and two ways of sadhna… love and meditation.
Meerabai was deeply in love with Lord Krishna, and finally she met Him, and disappeared in Him ( Parmatma me vilupt ho jana jise kehte hain).
Feminine aspect in a human give one the tendency to love- to love unconditionally.
If one is masculine, there would be more focus on thinking and intellectualizing – and hence the way becomes “to watch breath, watch thoughts, and delve deeper into meditation”.
Ok!! so as we discussed…”so whats the way for me?”
Well!! the fact that each of us has both the masculine and feminine aspects, there would be atleast one aspect which is predominant in each.
Even our brain has two halves, the left part being Masculine, logical, analytical, reasoning, whereas the right brain being feminine, emotional, sentimental.
If we learn to use both sides appropriately, we have developed both the sides properly, and in effect, we all are ardh-narishwaras.

If your dominantly masculine, you start with meditation. More you meditate, more loving you’ll become.
If your dominantly feminine, you love everyone unconditionally and that will open the door for you to deep meditation!

I have come to realize  that Love and Meditation are not two different things, but the same.
If you choose one, the other happens naturally!! That is the ultimate flowering of human consciousness!!

Legendary is the love that…

Legendary is the love that withstands rejection. It will be free of anger and ego.

Legendary is the commitment that withstands humiliation. It will be one-pointed and will reach the goal.

Legendary is the wisdom that withstands turbulence. It will be integrated in life.

Legendary is the faith that withstands a million chances of doubt. It will bring perfection.

Legendary are the events that withstand time. They will become morals for millions.

Love is the greatest strength

In love, even objects are elevated to life.

Stones and trees speak to you; the Sun, the Moon, the entire creation becomes alive.

When there is no love, even people become objects.

“If you are not free, you cannot love – freedom is the first thing.
So, when you become free, you are able to love unconditionally.
When you can love unconditionally, you will be skillful in your dealings.”:
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Being in utter love, yet undisturbed;caring yet not worried;persistent yet not perturbed; are the obvious signs of the Self shining.” SriSri

Open your hearts to love…

Interview with GOD

A sweet friend shared this with and am sharing it to you…. 🙂
I dreamed I had an Interview with GOD.
“So, you would like to interview me?” GOD asked.
“If you have time,” I said.
GOD smiled. “My time is eternity… what questions do you have in mind for me?”
“What surprises you the most about humankind?”
GOD answered.
“That they get bored with childhood, that they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.”
“That they lose their health to make money… and then lose their money to restore their health.”
“That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither the present nor the future.”
“That they live as if they would never die, and die as though they had never lived.”
GOD’s hand took mine… and we were silent for a while.
And then I asked, “As a parent, what are some of life’s lessons you want your children to learn?”
GOD replied, “To learn they cannot make anyone love them. All they can do is let themselves be loved.”
“To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others.”
“To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.”
“To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them.”
“To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.”
“To learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply do not yet know how to express or show their feelings.”
“To learn that two people can look at the same thing, and see it differently.”
“To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves.”
“Thank you for your time,” I said humbly.
“Is there anything else you would like your children to know?”
GOD smiled, and said… “Just know that I am here.”
“Always.”

The Language of love knows no conflict

There is major difference between intention and desire.
Most of our actions happen through intention.

Desire is the feverishness; an intention with feverishness great hurry to achieve is desire.

A desire devoid of feverishness with calmness is intention.
Letting go of the feverishness brings into the centeredness. Feel one with the divinity.

I am part of you I am you, you are me. This is the slogan of love.

The nature of Love is feeling oneness. Do you feel the same way with this existence with this divinity? Do you feel the part of this globe, part of the air, part of this ocean? Do you feel you have merged with this existence that is divine Love?

Love is not an emotion it is our very existence.

The Language of love knows no conflict. If there is conflict just ignore it, be indifferent to it (Udaseenta).
Indifference takes you beyond the opposite of love and hate:)
